University/ Commonwealth Policies and Procedures

Level One Skills

  • Knows where to find policy and procedure documents
  • Knows when to seek assistance when applying policies and following procedures and what channel to use in doing so.
  • Understands and follows policies and procedures accurately, completely, and on time
  • Applies appropriate policies in a consistent manner

Level Two Skills

  • Takes advantage of training and development opportunities to keep abreast of changes to policies and procedures
  • Ensures that unit staff understand and apply policies and procedures appropriately

ITU and Unit Vision/ Mission/Goals

Level One Skills

  • Knows where to find vision/mission/goal documents
  • Understands ITU and Unit vision/mission/goals and uses them regularly in planning and managing resources
  • Assists staff to understand vision/mission/goals

Level Two Skills

  • Helps staff to operationalize the vision, mission and goals in the day to day work of the unit
  • Contributes to the development and evolution of unit and ITU vision, mission, and goals

University/ITU Strategic Plan

Level One Skills

  • Knows where to find strategic planning documents
  • Knows channels for making inquiries for clarification and understanding
  • Demonstrates confidence in strategic plan

Level Two Skills

  • Helps staff to operationalize strategic plans in the day-to-day work of the unit
  • Uses strategic plan to relate unit and staff role in achieving vision/mission/goals
